We’re almost to the year anniversary from when the world shut down.
Funny story, March 13 is my birthday, and 3/13/2020 is pretty much the date that many people consider the day our lives completely changed. On that date, just one year ago, it seemed unfathomable that our lives would look like it does today - very little socializing, wearing masks, kids still in virtual school, minimal travel.
While self care is always important, this past year has really emphasized how hard we need to actively work to bring joy to our lives.
One Thing I Do Daily That Brings Me Joy (and you can do it too!)
For me, this one thing is pretty simple - meditate!
It helps me focus and live in the moment. It makes me feel grateful for all that I have and not feel worried or anxious about the future.
If you’ve thought about meditating but think you can’t do that - I know how you feel! Reminder - it’s a practice, not a perfect. Just keep trying and you will get better.
There are some great apps that can help. My favorite is Calm. I’ve heard good things about Headspace too.
